Rebecca Winkels

Rebecca Winkels is the Head of Strategic Communication at WiD and the project leader of the projects “Die Debatte” (The Debate) and “Wissenschaftskommunikation.de” (A meta- level digital platform dealing with science communication). She has previously worked in various roles within the press department of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research Braunschweig and served as a press officer for the Helmholtz Association head office. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Kiel and a master’s degree in science journalism from City University London.
