Nigmeh Kadan Abu Toameh

Nigmeh Kadan Abu Toameh is currently a Ph.D. student at the Graduate Program in Science, Technology and Society at Bar-Ilan University. Her thesis topic is: The Reception of Darwinian Evolution in Muslim Society: Muslim High School Students in Israel as a Case Study. Nigmeh holds an M.A. in biological thought- philosophy and history of biology from The Open University and a B.A. in the natural sciences from The Open University. She is a research assistant at the Dialogue in Science and Religious Education: Evolution Instruction in a Diverse Democratic Society using Pedagogy of Difference project, led by Prof. Hanan Alexander (Haifa University) and Prof. Tali Tal (Technion). Nigmeh is one of the developers of the website, which educates elementary school pupils in Arab society about environmental science.
