Carla Sofía Dávila
Research Intern

Carla Sofía Dávila is completing her Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Mediation (Public Policy) at Tel Aviv University. She is currently writing her dissertation on countries’ levels of militarization and how this affects their response to international conflict. Carla has a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa from Leiden University. She is interested in human rights, international law, the relationship between culture and foreign and domestic policy, and conflict resolution consulting.

During her time at Leiden University, Carla volunteered and interned at Karama Europe, an NGO with a grassroots approach towards ending violence against women. Carla also gained consultancy experience when Leiden University partnered with the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) to help the Mechanism improve its outreach program.
